Pet Peeve or Biblical Truth

I was looking through a quilting catalog today and came across a beautiful design. You can see it at PineNeedles.com . Here's the problem, the quilt says Faith, Hope and.... Love! The Bible says Charity! I Corinthians 13:13 "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."

Charity is love in action. Many people say they love the Lord, but few show charity to him. This verse is important! This goes with...

James 2:20 "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?"

James 2:26 "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

That has ALWAYS bothered me! Good post. I wish people would not take the Word of God for granted. Who do we think we are to try and change it?

Thank you Elaine for your sweet comment and comforting words in the passing of a sister in Christ.

Even though I already commented on this post...I also saw this Quilt..and thought...what a shame it has the wrong Bible.

God bless..

AMEN!! Each and every word is important, every jot and tittle. I'll take it like it is. People just don't realize what changing even one word can do to the meaning.
